i'm definitely not going satelite since i run servers and will not pay
commercial rates for a hobby that i make *no* money off of... heck, i don't
even charge anything for the services i offer...

anyway, i just wanted to comment on the fiber thing... i _have_ fiber in my
area... there's fiber out here within 100 feet from sprint and more fiber
withing 1000 feet from alltel... neither of them offer DSL for my location
:(

currently, about the best chance i have of getting highspeed internet is if
one of the cellular services out here offers WIFI and that only if i can
get clear LOS of their tower without having to install a 100 foot tower in
my location...
