TW>JE>I was under the impression that backups had two main purposes: TW>JE>1. Give one the ability to recover grunged data in case of a disastrous TW>JE>failure. This would enable one to recover and use his programs and data TW>JE>if his HD totally failed - I have had to do exactly that. My HD became TW>JE>unusable due to a mechanical failure. I used True Image to restore ALL TW>JE>to a new HD. TW>True but somen programs make it very inconvinent to back up just the TW>data easily. Mostly by Thinking THEY know better where the Data should TW>reside then you the Operator does. I being small potatoes don't have to TW>much data to back up but I have a bat file that drops to DOS and uses TW>XCOPY to copy my most important Data to a Removable drive. Tom, it is a gross mistake to backup JUST the data. Logically, one should back up the entire C: HD. That way, if the C: drive should crater, using TI for the back up program one can restore programs AND data to a new HD. If one only backs up the data and t he C: drives craters then one would have to totally reload all the programs and then install the data. Lots of time consuming work!
