I'm sorry to be so late replying. I left for a one week business trip to
France and did not return until five weeks later.
Anyway, regarding your experience, I'm afraid I'm not very helpful. Your word
is acting differently when launched with the above command on the AS/400.
When I do the above, it uses the .DOT file as an template and creates a new
document.
Since the behavior on your system is so fundamentally different, I expect
there are other problems related to the environment. Have you tried your
template under a normal W95 or NT platform environment?
