Hello Jim, nice talking to you !

JH> Greetings, thanks and best wishes to all here who are veterans of
 JH> military service.

I wish that I could have gone and grab a freebee but too far
and I was sick as two dogs. Just barely surfacing. I got a flu,
pneumonia and all, ran 104o F fever and and the shakes for long
   time. Makes me regret TI.

Nice to see you here. I sent you a couple of mails at juno but
never got a reply. How are you doing.... and Sally ? Is that
address still valid ? Here, I am about to drop AOL, I end it on the
29th this month. They say that I can still use it for free but only
for email. As a precaution, I have set up another addy, you can
reach me at : handcuff36{at}gmail.com. Handcuff 36 is my old Sabre
pilot call-sign, not that I was in handcuff before, not yet anyway.

We are redoing the whole basement here, that includes my putor
room, of course. That includes rerouting the RG59 used for the Web
feed. It used to run outside, from the service pole on the roof,
around the house to the back and down into my room. I now have it
running inside, from the TV feed, through the floor, into the
joists to my putor room. The splitter that was outside now is
inside, behind the TV. The cable is setup so now and gives good
service, I am on it as I type at you, at 100 mps. If I drop to
WiFi, it drops to 9 mps. All is fine.

Can you perk up my information as to these splitters. I can
see an "IN" and two "OUT"s. Is one of the OUTs
supposed to be for
the Web or does it matter ? One of the splitters that I have show
3.2 db on the outs. Are they all alike or are there different ones
around ? My cable run will be quite a bit shorter now, from 70' to
45' and this will benefit the circuit, I presume.

I am typing this on a Thinkpad as the Athlon 1.2 is under wrap
in the free room in the basement. It will be commissioned again
soon as I am very proud of it. Runs nicely, thanks to you.

Best regards to Sally, the stellar girl. Keep in touch please.

        Have a great day. Jean.

I will never try anything less than
Microsoft programmes. They out do all.
