DSL stuff runs at frequencies higher than 3000hz... you have to filter them
out for POTS stuff to work properly... the DSL stuff "filters"
out the 300hz-3000hz range since it doesn't need it... i forget, exactly,
what the frequency range is of DSL stuffs...
