Re: ANSI and PHP/Perl > Hi, > > Now for the next question. > > Is it possible to display "ansi" graphic screens in a web page/ using a > browser, using either php or perl with apache? > > Russell I wrote a function called ParseANSI() for my VADV-PHP web frontend. It converts ANSI to HTML. The only thing that I could not get to work right is the extended ASCII characters. I tried various encoding and fonts but never could get it to look right in a browser. Other than that, everything is displayed correctly. If you want to mess with the function, you can download VADV-PHP at www.vadvphp.com, and the function is in the va-functions.inc.php file. Just read the ANSI file into a variable and pass it to the function. It returns the HTML output. If you figure out how to display the ext. ASCII characters in a browser (and in a fixed width font), then please let me know.
