Nevermind that but a few years ago I heard the head of operations tried to
buy favouritism from some of the powers that be on the stock market to prop
up the price of shares.  Apparently that flew like a lead balloon from what
I heard via the grapevine.  Also he tried to get the Canadian gov't agency
responsible for communications (CRTC) to grant his company exclusive rights
to wireless/cellphone communications out here in the west.  That also flew
like a lead balloon so then he wanted to feed digital TV over the crappy
phonelines which probably wouldn't be all that great or at least not
universally given that it would only work in specific neighbourhoods within
large urban areas that for the mostpart are zoned commercial.  Thus
competition for TV is still largely a cable issue.

Where?  None of the MS people around these parts can deal with any advances
in technology, nevermind just digital communications.  They have to upgrade
and most of them are unlikely to do that until they are forced to.  If and
when that happens it might be more likely they will switch to Linux.  :-)
