Hi Grant,
I am not really a hockey fan...don't understand the game. I catch a
lot of grief from my Canadian friends who write me in Internet e-mail
because I don't like hockey. I watched the CFL a few years ago. The
game isn't all that different from the NFL with the exception of the
wider and longer field and maybe a few minor rule differences. I
still couldn't get into the Canadian game though, just like I can't
get into Austrailian rules football either.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion about the old Astro "rainbow"
uniforms. Many people agreed with you that they were disgusting. I
always felt they kind of livened things up around the ballpark. I
liked the bright colors. :)
Charlie Finley was owner of the Oakland A's in the 60's and 70's.
Back when the Houston Astrodome was first built in the mid 60's and
they had trouble seeing the ball in day games because of the sun
coming through the glass roof, Charlie Finley had the idea of a
orange baseball....An orange baseball? Ugh!
Your Friend,
John
... Everyone is entitled to my opinion, just ask me...
