The 49ers traded Terry May to the Jets for saying:
TM> Unless you're intimate with these players and/or their agents, this is
TM> pure speculation.
Unless you've had your head in the sand, you'd have seen the stories about
the agents that are being sued for going too far.
TM> If the agent does something foolish, because his player has given him
TM> carte blanch, then it's still the player's ultimate responsibilty for
TM> that decision. What happened to personal accountability?
Do you want to hold the Phillies' number one pick responsible for Boras'
crap? If you don't know him (You should, since he's Greg's agent), he's the
guy that got a couple of number one choices last year off the hook and tried
that same crap this year (the fact that he was the guy's agent cost his
client the *honor* of being the first choice in the draft). He advised his
client to sign with an independent team to get around MLB's rules and while
his client would be considered responsible for making the decision, he's
still a young man who's easily swayed by his agent (Why do you think that the
military wants young men? Besides the fact that they're in better shape at 18
than they are at 30, they're also easier to mold to be all that they can be).
