  I am using XP Pro on this computer, and 4NT works fine here.   I've
  had it on for several years and so don't recall just how it got
  installed.

  I'd suggest that you go to jpsoft.com and ask there.  They have a help
  forum which is accessible via nntp or http.   Start with
  http://jpsoft.com/forums.htm
  and go from there to sign up for it.
