Terry was hit by a Randy Johnson fastball for uttering:
TM> Would YOU allow someone
What *I* would do has NOTHING to do with it and you know it (or you should).
TM> services without consulting you first?
Are you kidding? Players have given carte blanche to their agents and their
financial people for years and that's why many of them are being sued or
fired by their clients long after the fact. Most of the time they set a
minimum that they'd like to get and then let the agent haggle over the
details. Many times the player doesn't have a clue as to the details until
the agent's got it close to what the player wants.
TM> If so, I think you're stupid.
Puhleeze, Terry. What I would or wouldn't do is meaningless. Players don't
make decisions based on any logic that anyone can always understand. Would
you turn down the kind of money that some players have in the past couple of
years? I wouldn't and neither would you but that's not to say that the player
or his agent wouldn't.
TM> And if not, what makes you better or smarter than Garnett?
I'm neither. What I would do means nothing as to what he would do and I think
that you need to understand that.
