        Everyone has to start somewhere, and yes those trivial things like
pyrimids are pretty basic, but its that you lean the looping concepts,
rather than create something big and useful.

        I assume you have a full shrink-wrapped version of Turbo Pascal? Or
is it some sort of "lite" version that came with a book so that
you can learn?
It's been a while since I've used a Borland IDE, but try selecting Make off
the Compile menu, and that should create a new .exe file as long it isn't
one of those "Lite" versions.

        To call another program, there are two simplish methods off the top
of my head:

        One is the exec function (check the online help), but if it isn't a
.exe file, i.e. a .bat or .com, then gives another buzz.

        The othr way, particularly if a program needs a lot of memory, is to
use the Exit function, opps, I think it might be halt in Pascal, umm, check the
online help, using this method you could call the program from a batch file
and catch the error level..
