RM>> .._Down South_..a stunning piece of work..
MR> It must be available on CD, right?
Oh, sure! Doc's entire discography is available on CD, or pretty close.
MR> ..I've placed this one in a fairly high position on The List. :-)
Cool! You won't regret it!
MR> You should have seen Merle in live performance!
I wish I had, too.
MR>>> I have a Mike Auldridge album with this title which features Doc
MR>>> Watson. ..did Doc also release an album called, _Treasures Untold_?
RM>> .."Doc Watson & Family"..Vanguard label (#77001). That it?
MR> Nope. This is most definitely a Mike Auldridge album.
Well then, they've both made albums called _Treasures Untold_! ;-)
MR> .._Treasures Untold_..1990..Sugar Hill..(SH-CD-3780).
How is it? I don't have any of Auldridge's albums, though I do have a few
on which he plays. He plays slide on Doc's _Docabilly_, for instance.
RM>> There are 3 or 4 shows that I listen to faithfully..I tape quite a
RM>> bit of it..sort of a hobby. It can be quite time consuming, though.
MR> I simply don't have the time..
I don't either, really, unless I MAKE the time. ;-)
MR> And often when they are, I'm out doing something else.
Oh, I don't do it live. I record the shows to Hi-Fi VHS at the 6-hour
speed, then listen and catalog it at my liesure. The interesting stuff,
I then dub off to cassettes.
MR> ..I did manage to catch this one last night....
