Yeah, that's it!  As I tend to od most in DOS, I call it 
"shelling"!

It appears that my querry is now moot, as I found the solution 
to my problem.  

In SYSTEM.INI under [386enh], I add the line " LocalLoadHigh=1 "  

All is well and my SWITCHER program LoadsHigh and I can access 
the tagline file I wanted to use!  

I may just experiment and see if BWAVE386 runs now...
