On 13 Dec 04 04:00:50, mark lewis got back to Dan Ceppa -> Re: Loadhigh DC> It's 98se. ml> 'k... same here... but what version of 4DOS?? 6.01a Is there a newer version of it? DC>> When shelling into DOS, I can't use Loadhigh. DC> It is in dropping into DOS from WIN. ml> hunh? do you mean opening a command prompt window?? Yeah, that's it! As I tend to od most in DOS, I call it "shelling"! DC> Both let me access the UMBs It's when I click on the WIN DC> shortcut that all the UMBs report as "used". ml> hunh? click on the WIN shortcut? windows from within windows? It appears that my querry is now moot, as I found the solution to my problem. In SYSTEM.INI under [386enh], I add the line " LocalLoadHigh=1 " All is well and my SWITCHER program LoadsHigh and I can access the tagline file I wanted to use! I may just experiment and see if BWAVE386 runs now... --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:123/666.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/666 500 106/2000 633/267 |
