   I think I heard Richard Swartz did a 1/2" plate glass mirror with an 8"
or 10" diameter near that
"f" number but he "slumped the glas in a kiln" to the
curvature of the sagitta. Thus having a piece of
glass with the same thickness over the entire surface. This is not easy to
do.  Mel , or Bob have more
knowledge of real thin glass under their belts..
