    Mark, this all comes down to ,  how good do you get along with your
"in-laws".  You will have to think
of the inconveince to them.   Maybe they say it is no problem, but is your
father in law interested in
astronomy?  Will this be a hassle or problem over a period of time?
     I myself like to keep my precious possesions (my telescopes) in my own
back-yard if you know what
I mean.   If your scope is large enough you will have no problem with a
little northern obstruction
and some nieghbors porch or street lights. If you know your nieghbors
enough you can talk them into
shields or different type lighting...        Your back yard is a nice place
for  your passion, Just change
the atmosphere and light pollution as much as you can..  Thats my thought.. Russ J.
