Ernie- I was given an original Trapdoor Springfield 45.70 that had actually
been used
in the Civil War and was still in excellent shooting condition when I was 12
years old. When I was 16 I sold it for $15.00 and a carton of cigarettes
because I didn't know what I had. When I got 25 years old and found out what
I had given up , I cursed myself for my stupidity. And I still want to cry
when I think about it. But the weapon is still lost to me. I hate to see the
above mentioned young man make my mistake. And have to live with it.
