Russ Jocoy Actually what we are observing at KE Foucault test is nulling of two small zonal patches. We have to determine radius of corresponding zone. If this determination is done via pinsticks than shadow and pinstick images will undergone equal deformation on the tester KE-mirror ( as described by Paul), permitting valid determination of zone radius. So far by intuition, I do not know how to do the relevant calculation to prove it all.
