Well, I bought an Air-conditioner (small 5000btu wall banger) for my
gargage. This is my polishing
area and since the temps are about 90 degrees, I have decided that this is
the cause of my turned down
edge, (the high temps) Well I was all gung ho and prepared the window
and was ready to mont brackets
when I decided to check out the A/C unit.
Well after plugging in the unit and turning it on high cool for
20 minutes, I felt that the temp exiting the blower was not cool enough
(remember this is a new unit). I stuck a thermometer in the blower vent
to see how "cold" the air was at the exit point... Well the temp
did not get below 70 degrees, after 30 minutes! Remember the thermometer is
stuck in the "cool air" exhuast.
Just for my own mind I stuck the same thermometer in one of my A/C vents
in my living room ( that is
about 10 feet from the coils in the attic) I waited 5 minutes...... The
temp..........60degrees.....
I was pissed off that I had prepared all the mounts and was ready to mount
this unit in my garage window
to find out that the temp blowing out was about the same as a cool breeze
outside 5 feet away.
Bullcrap.... Well I have it all boxed back up and have a few words for
my local L---s store.
It's just that I spent 4 hours preparing my window for this unit to
find it is a piece of S>>>>.
I know, calm down, calm down...I am just glad that I didn't take it
back tonite, because someone
would have caught the wrath of my frustration... Oh I have calmed down, I
am now enjoying the "air"
comming out of my living room vent at 60 degrees.....
