From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" Paul, The only problem with the mirror being the KE is that the edge needs to be a good smooth and straight one, something that isn't necessarily so. Using a seperate KE makes that problem irrevelant. I'll note that when using a KE seperate from the slit source, you have to make sure that the two edges are parallel or the mirror will indicate an astigmatic condition where the shadows start at the tip (bottom) and proceed to the other end.
