From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" The use of a small front surface mirror close to the KE is quite acceptable as long as the surface is fairly flat (you don't need a 1/20th wave flat here) and the closer to the KE, the less the need for flatness. Another choice would be to get a small security camera and modify the thing with a longer FL lens and use that behind the KE and you won't have to work so hard keeping your eye in the right place behind the KE to see the mirror illuminated properly.
