Oh, well that conference could easily be renamed from VID_GAMES to
DISINFORMATION_CAMPAIGN. Be sure to take your salt supplement before
reading there. :-)

Yeah, that would be some neat trick, laying off 100 employees when you
already have less than 100. Must be some new Jack Tramiel management
technique: fire some people two or three times on the same day! ;-)
Heheheheheheheheheh...

Only 15% of the population is reported to be on-line, of which a certain
percent on the Internet, of which a certain percent are tuned into a
game conference, of which only a few are interested in buying a Jaguar.
America's 10 and 11 year olds know nothing of this topic (you have to
wonder how many of them have even heard of Atari or the Jaguar, much
less know the stock price and corporate rumors).
TH> know someone who is. And though they may not all see the Jag rumors
Trust me, they are unaware of any of this false information. Their
beliefs will be shaped by the advertising that is bombarding the
airwaves. This means that mainly they'll be aware of Sega & Sony
products.
The only thing you have to fear is the lack of a decent Atari commercial
showing a decent high-speed 3D game.

As I said, nobody of STATISTICAL importance. One or two guys that are
big enough SUCKERS to believe everything that spews forth from the
Internet are not an accurate or representative sample of the Jaguar's
target audience. Enjoy. :-)

Fear not. Atari can still pull its roasting ass out of the fire if it
can get some decent ads on TV. I hear that the Jaguar is reaching the
retail market (Wal*Mart) as promised. Now they've got to get some ads
on (besides the lightbulb head).
The rumors are not nearly as scary as the lack of a really awe inspiring
TV ad. The Playstation ads have my eyes popping out. Atari's ad makes
me go zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
