| subject: | ATM Attaching mirror to grinder |
From: James P Crombie To: Atm List Reply-To: James P Crombie Hello all Just finishing up some more pieces for my mirror grinder. An aluminum plate to attach to the back of the mirror with a ball joint.to connect to the overarm of the grinder. I was wondering what the usually method of attaching the mirror to the plate would be? Pitch, tape?? And would putting a piece of ply(1/8") on the bottom of the alum offer a better surface to attach to. Mainly worried about how well the pitch will stick to the aluminum. some pictures of the latest parts. http://users.eastlink.ca/~jpcrombie/pics/mirrorplate%201.jpg http://users.eastlink.ca/~jpcrombie/pics/mirrorplate%202.jpg http://users.eastlink.ca/~jpcrombie/pics/mirrorplate%203.jpg -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- James P Crombie Summerside Machinist Prince Edward Island Amateur Astonomer Canada 3D Designer E-mail jpcrombie{at}pei.eastlink.ca Astronomy webpage http://users.eastlink.ca/~jpcrombie/ Rhinoceros 3D webpage http://users.eastlink.ca/~jpcrombie/rhino/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- BBBS/NT v4.00 MP* Origin: Email Gate (1:379/1.100) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/1 633/267 |
