Thanks to all who answered my questions on the knife edge direction
when entering the light
beam in a foucault test. I am planning on making some minor changes on my rig.
I have another question for everyone, I am in the
process of making a Ronchi screen
and I am using the thread (or wire) winding method. I tried 6lb
monofilament but only got about
35 to 40 lines per inch. I recently got some fine wire and plan on trying
it. Is 50 lines per inch enough
for a good test? Should I stop messing around and cough up $30 to Edmonds
for a glass etched 100lpi
screen?
Thanks to all
