I just read the paper today and it stated that the NCHSAA (North Carolina
High School Athletic Association) has new guidelines for ejected
players...here are the guidelines for individual players...
1. Anyone ejected once in football must miss the next week's game. For all
other sports, ejected players are suspended for one week.
2. Anyone ejected twice is suspended for the season (i.e. football season,
baseball season, etc.).
3. Anyone ejected 3 times is suspended from all sports for the school year.
Also if a team has six (6) ejections during its season, it will be
disqualified from the playoffs. This goes for football, soccer, basketball,
baseball, wrestling, and (I guess) tennis.
I also read that a high school in the eastern part of North Carolina has
rules that anyone ejected is kicked off their team, and coaches that are
ejected are fired.
Do any other state high school athletic associations have similar rules?
