Thanks to everyone, Mark, Bob, Richard and all who gave your comments
on the respirator I bought
and what it can do. I have cut plate glass before and always used a hose
with a flowing spray of water
while cutting. In the past I have used the paper masks while doing this but
I always felt that this wasn't
enough. I have been a carpenter, a cabinet installer, and have many
woodworking projects where I
have held my breath, Yeah, I know this is not good but at 50 years old I
can't fix those mistakes, but
for some reason glass seems different. Many old mirror makers are not
around now because they
were not aware, or did not think that glass powder was deadly to them and
persons around them.
I know that some say that its not that bad if you keep the dust down, I
say wait a minute, there shouldn't
be ANY DUST.... Keep it wet, always... So maybe everyone should remember
that this medium produces
fantastic images from the cosmos but always take precautions on your way
to the finished product.
I'm not spooked just careful...... thanks again... RUSS JOCOY
