From what I gathered, the registered versions still have support 
available to them...

I used to be a big fan of Symantec.  I loved their Q&A program.

Part of it is called, "By them and bury them".  I had that happen 
with dBXL.  dBASE bought their cheaper, and better, rival out an 
priced themselves out of the market.

The price sounds right...  I'll have to check that out and see if 
it is the same program.
