subject: Everyone is _born_ an atheist

-> RS> I don't comprehend it either. But I've certainly seen enough of
-> RS> it. The funny mentalists are the same folk who believe that a
-> RS> newborn child would go to hell because of its sinful nature.
-> RS> Newborn, and already sinning. *sigh*

-> Trying to comprehend that would mean subscribing to their brand of peculiar
-> logic, a feat I'm not sure I'm capable of.

It has a sort of Swiftian feel to it, I admit. Rational folks just
can't comprehend irrationality. Irrational folks almost always try to
rationalize irrationality; I'm thinking, for instance, of the slavics
madmen known as the fools for christ who acted foolish, and the local
population revered them. Things like walking around Moscow winters in
one's shift, etc.

Every village used to have AN idiot. One. Now they're everywhere.
What to do?

-> RS> At any rate, nice to meet you Roy. Could you or any of the other
-> RS> crew members here suggest a good cheap/free telnet client? This
-> RS> WindozeXP is driving me out of my mind.

-> Not me, don't run it here.

Not my first choice either, but it came with the machine.

-> RS> Or, barring that, a good point software so that I can get me FIDO
-> RS> feed of the internet, where you currently see me writing this? I
-> RS> would be most grateful.

-> My last point was run under plain old dos, like this bbs runs. And there a
-> machines here running w98 (for the grandkids to play games on), OS/2, and
-> linux, but I don't have any plans whatsoever to run any of the
-> later

I don't blame you. I have an old 386 and an old 486, either one of
which I could toss OS/2 on and bring the old Maximus board back to
life, I suppose. If it wasn't for this dratted laziness . . . ;)
