Did you read the recent bit about the guy that was bit by his own 
sharpei.  He got pissed off, called his wife at work and told her the 
dog bit him, and said he was going to kill the dog.  After the call he 
started to beat the dog to death . . . with the stock of a shotgun.  
Big bang.  Police show up, find dead dog owner, very well bitten with a 
huge hole in his abdomen, and a living dog.  Pity is that he probably 
spread his genes before putting himself up for the Darwin Awards.  
Still, I love the irony.

We've needed it for a bit.  However, we are hard-pressed to come up 
with anything that works for very long that isn't tainted in some way.  
Sigh.  We may have to muddle through with what we have now.  I'm open 
to suggestions, though.

Truth should always be based on fact, I think.  I find it better that 
way, at any rate.  I have an offspring that I'm bringing up.  Very 
smart kid.  Is consistenly annoyed and amazed that the bulk of the 
population appears to be much dumber.  Wants to know how I put up with 
it.  I just shrug.  What can you do?  The funny mentalists are out 
there, there's nothing we can do about it.  I love people, but I think 
even a few of them are a waste of space.  At least I don't act on it.  
It's small consolation, but all mine.
