TB>NEVER had a feeding problem?? Wow. Mine used to typically jam two or
three
TB>times per 8-shot magazine. I've tried to fix the problem: I filed small
feed
TB>ramps into the bottom *and* the top of the chamber mouth. I set aside one
TB>magazine that was questionable, and I got some Remington Thunderbolt ammo,
TB>which seems to have a nicely shaped bullet. After all this, I've got down
to
TB>only one jam per two or three clips fired. Although, it still puts a
asty
TB>ding into many of the bullets when chambering them.

I have an AR-7 mfg by Armalite which I acquired new in 58 I have always
enjoued shooting the little thing. I have had bouts of feed promlems that
seemed to be related to it's current state of cleanlines and the ammo that
I might be trying to use. Mine seemed to prefer hollow-point federals and
probably has had more of thsoe used in it..
The alluminum barralel with steel linar was a put-off when I first bought
the gun but I have had a lot of service from mine. I hope your experince
with the newer arms is postive as my opinion of the origianl..I like it!
