Yes, and I was one of them. After having some exposure to EU bureaucrats, my
initial enthusiasm for the project waned and was replaced by opposition. This
was in the early noughties.

That the EU is inept, rigid, and bureaucratic has merely been confirmed by the
vaccine shit-show.
