Not since raspi have I witnessed anything that slow.  The kernel source takes longer.

As far as this machine goes - AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with Radeon Graphics - not that big of a wait.  Firefox only takes about 25 minutes.  Offhand I believe llvm might take the longest.
