It was just released earlier today.  Of note is;

 :r !firefox --version | sed 's/^/ > /' 
 > Mozilla Firefox 102.10.0esr

So it looks like gcc-13.1.0 is not quite ready for primetime ... yet.  I guesstimate no later than August when glibc-2.38 becomes mainstream.  In the meantime this gcc-12.3.0 based partition appears to be up to the task of taking charge of at least this particular machine.  I can easily live with this.
