Funny you should mention this.
Dennis Nikitin has given me a copy of the 1982 Sikoruk book as a gift. Now
that I'm getting a bit more comfortable with Russian I will start reading
parts of it.
Dennis has also loaned me two other books:
1. Astronomical Optics by Maksutov, 2nd publishing 1979 (based on the 1946
version if I read it correctly).
2. Fabrication and Testing of Astronomical Optics by Maksutov, 2nd
publishing 1984 (based on the 1948 version).

It's interesting to see how the different sites romanize the Cyrillic in
different ways.

I make no promises, but I'll talk with Dennis and perhaps between the two
of us we can put a dent in parts of this. I'm here for the next 16 months
or so.
I'm out of town soon, until mid-Feb, and Dennis soon leaves for training
seminars until mid March, but I will confer with him this weekend and see
what he wants to do. We might be able to spend a couple hours a week on
this.
