After being aced by Monica Seles, Terry May said:

Why? They're paying MLB a lot of moeny and they should be given some kind of
consideration for that kind of money. They're going to get crap for players
from MLB so they should get *something* for their money
TM> How you going to handle scheduling with 15 teams per league? Either
TM> you have interleague play every day or at least one team in each
TM> league is off every day.
Maybe you hadn't noticed but that wasn't a problem that MLB was too concerned
with. Their original plan had 15 per league and there was talk of reducing
the number of games so the day off was probably in their plans.
TM> and I've never known them to identify themselves as an AFL team (at
TM> least not since they really were an AFL team).
Puhleeze, Terry. Lamar is first and foremnost an AFLer (as is Al Davis). Even
the younger members of the AFC that belonged to the AFL and whose original
owners aren't around still have that "AFL" feeling. The 75th anniversary
season certainly showed that those feelings were still there.
