RM>> You're an engineer, right? You've /got/ to be an engineer... ;-)
DM> If you're going to insult the poor Canuck..
Not an insult at all! I really DID admire that message! ;-)
Or did you mean the engineer part..
DM> ..you might have the decency to do so on the 60's_70's_Progressive_Rock
DM> echo, where he's recently been anointed Temporary (he thinks) Moderator.
Ah! I used to read that echo a couple or three years back...
DM>.. Especially if you can think of any topical items to discuss.
Heh. That's why I lurked. Too hard to stay on topic! They still having the
"band x is/is-not ProgRock" wars? ;-)
DM> I'm looking forward to a King Crimson Live in '69 release next month..
I heard about that one, I think.
DM> ..only Proggy stuff I bought lately (besides the Moody Blues box set
DM> which is already programmed in my DNA anyhow) is a couple Tull albums.
I bought Gentle Giant's debut album a couple of months back, but other
than that... (That IS Prog, innit? )
DM> And the teen genius who enlightened us to the fact that Black Sabbath
DM> wuz the only kool band from those decades..
He'd probably like Coven's album COVERS, though.. ;-)
DM> ..has declared that Tull isn't really Progressive anyway, it's just a
DM> guy with a flute and some guitars.
;-)
DM> ..a Stackridge and some Matching Mole LP's outta the archive..
Never heard of 'em. :-(
DM> When you get that Box Of Frogs CD, make sure you play "Heart Full Of
DM> Soul" real loud.
What a co-inkydink! I'm listening to it even as I type. Hold on Whoa!
DM> Yardbirds rhythm section with Rory Gallagher on lead guitar and Roger
DM> Chapman (Family/Streetwalkers) on vocals. Mmmmm.
Rory sounds /real/ good on that electric sitar! And Mr. Chapman certainly
has a formidable voice! Good song!
BTW, the sonics on this disc are very good, at least as far as I can tell on
my CD-ROM & through my MOR Sony headphones.
DM> NP: Sam Kinison _Live From Hell_
Ack! You listen to Same Kinison? Jeez, David, my opinion of you as a man
with impeccable taste just wavered a bit there... ;-)
DM> ... ?h!$ is Y?ue? ?aG#!^n? ?^n d?ugf.
ROFL! Swiped!
... Flash! Xerox and Wurlitzer merge, will make reproductive organs..
