I found the ACPI doc's hard to follow as well, once my wifes off swimming
I'll sit down and do a quick example  doc for AMDX2, what files to
replace, and switchs on acpi.psd that work for  me as well as the
remap bit and how to get the non ACPI IRQ or the card as well as
find out the high IRQ used by the card when running in SMP.
