Well, technically, no sports are "worth knowing about" :).. they're just
recreation, for the most part.
I don't know if it's a major step in the women's movement..  lots of women
have complained that sports are barbaric, pointless, stupid.. now that they
have some leagues, the opinions change?
Anyways, you're free to follow any league you like.  I guess knowing about
the WNBA and other women's leage is as worthwhile as any other men's league..
