Hi,
 
Firstly is there a problem using DVI output to an DVI/VGA Lcd monitor under ECS?
 
Next, the drive write failure that was frustrating me and reported
previously which was causing computer seizure, was finally discovered to be
a video card inadequacy which only occurred when the TV software was being
used. I changed the video card and the problem disappeared.
 
The inadequate card used with SnapStream was an ATI Radeon X1050 256 meg, I
subbed an Nvidia 6200 256meg.
Seems the Radeon used a bastard design, later cards such as the Radeon 9550
reportedly works okay.
