I'm guessing your in the area of Champaign-Urbana?? I used to live in Rantoul
on the now-closed Chanute AFB. There's a junkyard just off I-74 on (I think)
Lincoln Ave (on the north side of I-74) right across from the UPS yard, on 
he
east side of the street. I'm not sure but I think the name is Champaign
Recycling, although I haven't lived there since late 1993. They're a
combination scrapper/salvage yard. You pay a modest price for items on the
vehicles, usually by weight. I believe doors are $20 without hinges, you 
ull,
no guarantee. They get new vehicles every week. I bought a lot of parts for

'77 F-250 there, and still have the truck.
There's another yard north on US. 45 north of Rantoul, in Ludlow. Half way to
Paxton is a Y in the road, you take the left towards Ludlow. I beleive the
name of that yard is Midwest Salvage. They let you pull your own there too.

firm with the two junkyard dogs that run the place, they occasionally try to
say one thing on the way in, but another price on the way out. They've been
known to have some beauties from time to time.
