| subject: | [OS2HW] Soundblaster Live problem... |
Hi,
I've recently put a SBLive card in my machine but have problems!
I disabled on-board ADI Soundmax in the BIOS, used minstall to reset
my installation back to no sound card and then used minstall again to
load the UNIAUD drivers.
On reboot the card was recognised & drivers loaded but I get no sound.
I have also tried the procedure with the SBLive drivers and, again,
the card is recognised but with these drivers I just get strange noises.
I've searched the web but can't find anything out there that really
helps. I noticed that minstall didn't copy over uniaud.dll or
unimixpm.exe - both of which appear to be needed in the few sites I've
found which do have some reference to this problem, but I'm not really
sure where they belong. I put the dll in mmos2\dll and the exe in
mmos2. I can get the mixer to load but still no sound.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??
Thanks in advance,
Dave Lister
