That's undoubtedly the worst run of luck I've heard of in recent
months. While it doesn't (thankfully) happen all the time, it is
also true that theft, piracy, mysterious losses, etc., must be
figured in to the final retail price of most products.
If TOS/GEM fans want access to reasonably priced software, they had
better think twice about illegal copying, outright theft, piracy and
so on. As you pointed out, it's tough enough without the burden of
having to fight your 'own' people.
