Hi Steve,

I don't know how you keep up with all this stuff. I find naming conventions
used by the computer peripheral industry appallin and misleading.

For example 9550 is greater than 1050, so how would one know which is the
most recent. Duh!

I use snapdriver, so that's good news.

Not as long as the hardware and driver support it. If you are using a 
VESA driver (GENGRADD, SNAP fallback VESA driver, or Panorama VESA), it 
should work, albeit slow. If you are using an accelerated driver, it has 
to support it - SNAP Graphics has a list of chipsets where it is supported 
in the readme file.

The Radeon X1050 is later than the 9550, although it is lower-end.
