I wouldn't expect so, but behavior as a result of BIOS bugs is unpredictable.

Do you ever get a speaker beep? If not, you might have a CPU or motherboard
problem, possibly either one defective.

Removing the battery for several minutes or more with the power supply
disconnected is usually sufficient regardless what's in the motherboard
manual regarding clearing CMOS.

I'd pull all add-in cards from all slots and try with the onboard video. If
that works, then add things back one at a time until failure returns.
