I seem to recall way back that one of the first 'forced issue' updates 
was to OS2LDR. IIRC, this is the file that loads the mini-file system in 
OS2BOOT, and initially Dani provided a patch then IBM released an 
updated version.  In any case, the error message you posted earlier is 
contained in OS2LDR.MSG.   Also, I seem to recall that there are two 
versions of OS2BOOT depending on whether one is using HPFS or FAT.  I 
have no idea how JFS is handled because I panic every time I see that 
driver load!
