| subject: | [OS2HW] New machine wont start |
Hi all,
I have assembled a new computer and after months of nagging little
problems, arrive at the point where I could push the start button.
But,the thing wont start. The power light and the hard drive light,as
well as the fans spring into life, but no output to the screen. This is
both with a video card installed and with the built-in video. My WAG is
the cmos has somehow been deleted,
The mobo is :Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H
CPU Athlon 64X2 Dual core 4800.
on board graffics:integrated in the AMD 690G north bridge
Graphics card:Visiontek Radeon HD3850.
Both the lights and fans come to life when the start switch.
Any gausses and solution(besides changing the mobo)
Would a dead cmos battery cause this behavior?
Thanks for any help?hope offered.
