Hi James,
If you can index from a known screw phase then you can make a test run and
use these data for screw calibration. Of course, first make sure that the
micrometer axis is aligned with the tester's axis. As it is, you have
roughly a 1-2% error in measuring the LA. An error mechanism of this
magnitude is certainly worth reducing.
