How cheap? I presume you mean 2.2.1? Some will debate this is a better
release, due to some major changes in 2.2.2. My other box runs 2.1.5 so it
was a bit of a shock for me...

I've heard that Win95 is a bit fussy about co-existing with other operating
systems. Make sure you back everything up! FWIW FreeBSD can mount FAT
partitions so you can still access your Win95 files.
Of the 3 FreeBSD installs I've done, a couple have a 5-10Mb DOS partition
as an emergency backup with DOS network card drivers, KA9Q for FTPing etc,
but the OS running 99.9999% of the time is FreeBSD.
