While all the judging was going on, was there guest speakers,presentation= s,
a swap meet; and, hopefully a dining in dinner? If so, it sounds like a S= tar
Party to me!!!!! East coast style, and I'll bet that for the most part
everyone there probably agreed with the judging. =0D

I've been to a few star parties, and I'm almost certain that the fancy sc= ope
would have won hands down at any SP contest for craftsmanship, just becau= se
of the labor of love that went into making it. It truly is as put "a work=
 of
Art". I would rather have this instrument sitting in my living room to
complement it, than this big white tube sonotube I have. =0D

Stellafane is the Mecca for the East, and if I have this right...just as = the
RMTC is on the West. A large gathering of people with the same passions i= n
every aspect of astronomy and telescopes. Do as these folks have done and
you can start your own historical event.=0D
