I have one hanging around here that deals with political campaign
communication...it'd prolly really make 'em scream
Cockburn content...hmmmm...someone here won some tickets to see him in
concert and meet him backstage. They weren't particularly huge fans, so
they asked if anyone could come up with a question or two so they'd have
something interesting to say to the man when they met him.
My boyfriend happens to be a canoeist...and enjoys the Bill Mason videos
about canoeing. Bruce Cockburn knew Mason pretty well I guess and
wrote some music for a video called "Waterwalker". Tim was particularly
taken with the music (mostly instrumental) and I had looked for a
recording of the title song or the soundtrack for him. No luck. So I
asked my friends to ask Cockburn if such a recording existed. It
didn't as far as he knew, but my friends said he seemed a little
surprised they asked about this work (the video is prolly 15 or 20 years
old...and I don't think he expected to be asked about a canoeing video
while visiting downtown Detroit ).
